In 2016 I was on a hike in Oahu somewhere and I ran into a family from Sweden. And I thought how crazy that we've both been to Oahu and Stockholm. And then I thought is it that crazy? And then I thought how many people have been to the same places as me? And then I thought if I had to pick 8 of my favorite spots (or most meaningful) I wonder if anyone on the planet would match those 8 exactly. And, if they did, I feel like I would want to learn where else they've been and get some tips.
And that was 10 years ago.
Somewhere out there is someone whose 8 are your 8. I built this to find them. After almost a decade of dreaming, it's finally here.
It's not meant to be another addictive app to steal your attention, it's not meant to wire you up for more screen time, it's just meant to log the places you've been, find your fellow travelers and get inspired to see more. Out there.
Where have you been? Log it. See it. Get matched with people who have been to similar spots and marked favorites like you have. Learn. Get recommendations from them, give them your favorites, and, all in all, meet people like yourself all over the world. Get out there in the real world, because that is always the point.
